A vacuum only picks up loose surface debris. Carpet and mats extraction uses hot water and cleaning solution injected deep into the carpet fibers, then extracted back out along with the dirt and dust trapped inside.
This is the right add-on for carpets that look dingy even after a normal detail, or mats that have absorbed months of dirt, sand, and spills.
